Attraction chapter 3
Once the police had arrived and gotten everyones statements I left the party. Nuero had convinced the guests that the young women had tripped off the balcony and onto the floor. He faked a few sobs about how he tried to grab her but was too late. The police were quick to stop the investigation when he handed them a few hundreds. To be honest I was almost impressed with him. He handled the whole thing smoothly and even got sympathy from the guests. Part of me was still torn though. I felt used; unwanted. The only reason he invited me there that night was for self satisfaction. It had nothing to do with who I was.
I unlocked the door to my apartment and was hit with the realization about how small it really was. Then again, after spending an evening in the mansion everything looks small. I proceeded with my nightly routine of brushing my teeth and taking a shower. The shower was my favorite part of the day. It was the one place I could just relax and finally be alone. Didnt h
Attraction chapter 2
I opened my eyes slowly and started at the ceiling.
Saturday, I whispered, nothing to do but watch some T.V after procrastinating getting up for a good twenty minutes I hauled myself out of bed. I walked out of my bed room and into the main area of my small apartment. It wasnt much, but it was home. For months now Ive been trying to save up enough money to move out of here and get a real house. So far it wasnt going to well. I threw on a red bathrobe and walked out my front door to get the newspaper. There, lying at my feet was a crisp white envelope with a bright red wax seal. I glanced around hoping to see the person who left it, but the halls were empty. I lifted the letter off the ground and tore open the flap carelessly.

My body froze when I saw the middle age man
SolaceShe never slept well in the dark,

Guided by the aftermath, she was always two steps behind.
What did the world look like to the girl who had been through it all?
Braved the heaviest of storms,
yet skipping over cracks in the pavement.
They said her eyes were the wisps of clouds before the storm.
To him they were reflections of pages overlooked.
She said it was like she lived the life of someone she had never met.
Laid out to dry, yesterdays news.
He knew her as the girl who was built to never collapse.
He wished he was too.
He loved her more than words could say, and yet her pain was such,
that at times, he feared she wouldn’t make it.
But on nights like these, even when it threatened to consume her,
he became convinced that somehow she would.
